Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks an experienced Verification Engineer to lead advanced testing activities for power and grid management solutions. You will design robust verification strategies, develop automated test frameworks, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating large-scale projects in a complex engineering environment.

You will apply Python, Tcl and Linux to build scalable test systems, perform root-cause analyses, and drive quality across software and firmware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Around 10 years of subject-matter expert experience in verification engineering or software testing.
• Experience managing large test projects or processes and mentoring professionals.
• Proven expertise in test automation and scripting for complex software/hardware systems.
• Technical expertise in Python, Linux, simulations, firmware development, and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex requirements and designs to define verification strategies.
• Design and maintain test plans, cases, and procedures for new features.
• Act as SME managing large-scale test projects with limited oversight.
• Coach and delegate test development to junior professionals.
• Execute advanced manual and automated testing to verify functional requirements and performance.
• Develop and maintain advanced test automation frameworks and scripts (Python, Tcl, etc.).
• Set up and manage test environments including HIL setups.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for faster feedback.
• Identify, document and track defects through resolution using workflow tools.
• Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Generate detailed test summaries and quality metrics for stakeholders.
