Job summary

Optimus Search in Denmark seeks an experienced Senior Power Systems / Grid Connection Engineer to support major renewable-energy and grid-integration projects. You will model how large-scale assets interact with the electricity network.

We value hands-on expertise with PowerFactory and PSCAD, RMS/EMT simulations, and strong experience in wind, solar, BESS, PtX and hybrid projects, plus collaboration with DSOs/TSOs to ensure grid compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate power-system models using PowerFactory and PSCAD.

Job description

Optimus Search is looking for an experienced Senior Power Systems / Grid Connection Engineer to support major renewable-energy and grid-integration projects in Denmark.

This is a specialist power-system studies and grid-compliance position focused on modelling how large-scale renewable assets interact with the electricity network.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and validate power-system models using DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD
• Perform RMS and EMT simulations
• Conduct harmonic, load-flow and short-circuit studies
• Grid connection and grid-compliance studies for Wind, Solar/PV, BESS, PtX and hybrid plants
• Analyse voltage, frequency and dynamic system behaviour
• Perform fault ride-through (FRT) studies
• Protection studies across HV/MV/LV networks
• Protection coordination for generators, cables, transformers and substations
• Work with DSOs and TSOs throughout grid-connection processes
• Support compliance with RfG and DCC requirements
• Develop and quality-check complex simulation models
• Use Python for study automation and engineering analysis where applicable

Your Profile

You will ideally bring 5–10+ years of experience in electrical power systems, with a strong background in grid connection, power-system studies or renewable-energy integration.

Hands-on experience with both PowerFactory and PSCAD is particularly important.

Previous experience within an engineering consultancy, TSO/DSO, renewable developer, OEM or EPC would be highly relevant.
