European Energy is seeking a Senior Transaction Manager, Project Finance, to lead complex non-recourse financing transactions from mandate to financial close across Europe. You will act as the primary lender contact and guide the deal team with autonomy, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.
You will manage the full cycle of multi-country project finance deals in the renewable energy sector, collaborating with M&A, development, engineering, procurement and execution teams.
Looking for a role where you can lead complex, high-value financing transactions from mandate to close? Join our Project and Asset Finance team in Copenhagen as a Senior Transaction Manager and take ownership of financing renewable energy projects across Europe.
European Energy is a growing company in the renewable energy sector. We are a privately owned Danish company founded in 2004, with our headquarters in Copenhagen. We develop, construct, finance, and operate solar (PV) and wind energy projects globally, as well as Power-to-X projects. In addition, we explore new technologies, including battery storage, biogas, and carbon capture. Our core values form the foundation of everything we do: In It Together, Trust and Courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.
Sitting under the Chief Commercial Officer, the 10+ FTE Project and Asset Finance team sources all financing needed to build EE's project pipeline, forming a critical pillar of EE's commercial value proposition and delivering billions of euros of project and asset financing across dozens of transactions annually. We work closely with our colleagues throughout the company - from our M&A department, where we support farm-down opportunities, to the teams driving the development, engineering, procurement, and execution of our projects.
As a Senior Transaction Manager, Project Finance, you will take the lead on complex, non-recourse financing transactions from mandate to financial close. You will act as the single point of contact for lenders, direct the deal team, and carry extensive decision-making autonomy over how each transaction is run. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who wants full ownership of transaction execution and direct exposure to Europe's leading renewable energy lenders.
As a person, you are proactive, driven and results-oriented, with the confidence to take ownership of a transaction, and the agility to work within a dynamic, innovative, and evolving corporate culture. You are a strong negotiator with excellent communication skills, able to convey complex financial concepts to internal and external stakeholders alike. You have an eye for detail balanced with good judgement on when to escalate, and a genuine interest in the financial market and the renewable energy sector.
You are willing to travel commensurate with the transactions to meet with stakeholders across Europe.
We are now more than 970 employees with 51 nationalities represented in 21 countries, and we are growing rapidly in both Copenhagen and across our global offices. We all work for our common goal: to be a leading partner in the renewable energy transition and to create The Power of Tomorrow, Today.
Our working environment is built on mutual respect for the varied strengths and talents of our employees, with a flat hierarchy and a culture that encourages initiative and innovation. Our employees value our flexible working culture, which supports a better balance between work and personal life. We are a team, whether it is in the workplace, on our company trips, or during our weekly company training sessions. At European Energy, you will work with colleagues from around the world and become part of a collaborative international network.
At European Energy, our leadership culture is built on six guiding principles that shape how we collaborate, make decisions, and grow together. These principles help us act responsibly and empower each other to succeed.
We value a diverse and inclusive workplace and encourage all qualified candidates to apply, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or background.
