Danfoss is seeking a Principal Test Engineer, Software Platforms to define how quality is built, verified, and demonstrated for the PLUS+1 OS platform. You will shape the quality approach for a software ecosystem influencing teams, technologies, and customers globally.

This role combines deep technical testing expertise with strategic influence, establishing scalable practices and improving release confidence across multiple products.

Qualifications

• Successful track record developing test strategies for complex software platforms or large-scale programs.
• Deep expertise in software quality engineering, verification and validation, risk-based testing, and release readiness.
• Experience with test automation, CI environments, and modern software development methodologies.
• Able to influence technical and business stakeholders across organizational boundaries without formal authority.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex quality topics into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the end-to-end test strategy for PLUS+1 OS across the platform ecosystem, enabling scalable quality assurance and release readiness.
• Improve automation, integration testing, quality metrics, and reporting to provide clear visibility into product quality and release risk.
• Ensure regulatory and cybersecurity compliance through evidence, traceability, and validation.
• Guide product teams in understanding platform-level coverage and establish effective verification strategies.
• Influence cross-functional teams to align on quality objectives, priorities, and release decisions.
