Job summary
Terma Group is seeking a Software Safety Engineer to influence design decisions, shape safety strategies, and drive innovation in safety-critical systems. You will lead safety software assurance activities and collaborate with verification and validation teams to ensure robust safety and compliance.
Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years in system safety engineering for software-intensive systems, leadership experience in safety-critical projects, and strong knowledge of embedded systems and safety
Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5–8 years in system safety engineering for software-intensive systems (experienced)
- Leadership in safety-critical projects and strategic decision-making (senior)
Responsibilities
- Lead safety software assurance activities: create Software Safety Plans, Verification & Validation Plans, and Safety Cases.
- Perform Software Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and FMEA to ensure safety integrity.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 61508, MIL-STD-882E, DO-178C and related standards.
- Support independent safety assessments and audits.
