Job summary

Kamstrup in Denmark is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to transform QA within the team and across the department through AI-powered testing and automation.

You will define QA disciplines, build automation frameworks, mentor teams, and execute automated and exploratory testing for new features and regression suites while collaborating with software engineers, architects and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as systems engineering or similar.
• Certifications such as ISTQB, ISEB, or similar are an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software quality engineering, testing, or test automation.
• Practical experience exploring and applying AI-assisted testing approaches.
• Experience with test automation.
• Strong communication skills and a data-driven approach to quality assurance.

Responsibilities

In the role as our new Senior Software Quality Engineer, your job will be to transform quality assurance within the team and across the department through AI powered testing and automation.

More specifically you will be:

• Defining and implementing new quality assurance disciplines and methods using AI assisted testing techniques
• Defining the AI and automation strategy for quality assurance
• Building and maintaining automation frameworks
• Mentoring and guiding teams in adopting AI driven testing practices
• Implementing, extending and improving automated testing for new features and existing regression tests
• Alongside AI-powered automation, you will also perform exploratory and targeted manual testing and maintain existing test suites and tools

You will experience the opportunity to shape the future of quality assurance across the department while working with AI tools and intelligent automation solutions. Alongside experienced software engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams, you will gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies with the possibility to influence the direction of both the team and the department.

With direct reference to our Senior Manager, you will become part of one of our development teams, consisting of 10 developers, a Product Owner, and a Scrum Master. Together we develop software for our Intelligent Metering Solutions and Analytics products, and you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. We are looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer who is ready to drive change in quality assurance and who is motivated by automation, innovation and continuous improvement. You achieve this by combining technical expertise with a curious and analytical mindset while building strong collaboration across teams.

In order to succeed we imagine that you:

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree within a relevant field such as systems engineering or others
• Have solid knowledge of software testing principles and quality engineering practices. Certifications such as ISTQB, ISEB, or similar are an advantage
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience within software quality engineering, testing, or test automation
• Have practical experience exploring and applying AI-assisted testing approaches
• Bring experience with test automation
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a data driven approach to quality assurance
