Job summary

Systematic A/S is seeking a Senior Specialist in GRIT Security to help protect critical systems across defence and public sectors. Based in Aarhus (Copenhagen possible), you will roam between security monitoring, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management with autonomy and shared responsibility.

You will join GRIT Security, a skilled team operating across Aarhus and Copenhagen, focusing on proactive security engineering, day-to-day monitoring and rapid response.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years' experience in IT security, with hands-on SOC/IR experience.
• Solid understanding of security configurations and incident response.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and Azure.
• Comfortable working across networking, Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.

Responsibilities

• Investigate security events escalated by SOC and dig deeper as needed.
• Contain and resolve security incidents end to end and document findings.
• Develop and tune security configurations, rules, use cases and playbooks.
• Carry out proactive threat hunting and contribute to vulnerability management.
• Advise and support other teams and share security knowledge.

The job

As a Senior Specialist in GRIT Security, you will play a key role in keeping Systematic safe and compliant. You will work across security monitoring, threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management - with plenty of variety in your day‑to‑day work. The role is based in Aarhus, but we are also open to candidates based in Copenhagen.

In short, you can look forward to:

• Investigating and analysing security events escalated by our SOC, digging deeper where needed
• Investigating, containing and resolving security incidents end to end, and documenting findings and lessons learned
• Developing and tuning security configurations, detection rules, use cases and response playbooks
• Carrying out proactive threat hunting and contributing to vulnerability management and compliance work
• Advising and supporting other teams, and sharing your security knowledge across the organisation

Joining the team

You will join GRIT Security, an established and specialised team based across our offices in Aarhus and Copenhagen, working closely with our Security Operations Centre. We combine proactive security engineering with day‑to‑day monitoring and response, and every team member carries real autonomy and shared responsibility for keeping Systematic safe. Work runs in sprints, with a healthy mix of planned tasks and emerging priorities - so no two days look quite the same. Knowledge‑sharing is central to how we work, so whatever the day brings, you will not be tackling it alone.

Your Qualifications

You have around 4–6 years’ experience working with IT security, ideally including hands‑on experience in security operations and incident response - for example, in a SOC, CSIRT or CERT. You have a solid understanding of security configurations, monitoring and incident response, with hands‑on experience in Microsoft security technologies, particularly Microsoft Defender and Azure. You are comfortable working across networking, Windows and Linux, and know your way around common attack techniques such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework. You use scripting, for example:

• Python or PowerShell, to automate parts of your work.

On the personal side, you are:

• Calm, structured and analytical, with strong judgement under pressure.
• A strong team player who communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Fluent written and spoken English is required.

Please note

that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years, as we work with security‑classified projects.
