Job summary

Vestas in Aarhus is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to lead a 12-person payroll team for ~7,500 employees across Denmark. You will drive governance, compliance, and delivery of accurate payroll, while collaborating with HR, Finance and external providers to align with global standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Business Admin or related field.
• 7+ years leading end-to-end payroll operations with governance, compliance and leadership.
• Deep knowledge of Danish payroll legislation, tax, labor law and social security.
• Experience managing external payroll providers and vendor governance.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders across HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, HRIS and Audit.
• Experience with payroll systems and SAP implementations, upgrades or integrations.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for Denmark with governance and controls.
• Act as the Denmark payroll SME, guiding compliance and best practices.
• Ensure Danish payroll, tax, labor law, social security, and reporting requirements are met.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, HRIS, and external providers to align with global standards.
• Drive automation, standardization and continuous improvement in payroll processes.
• Manage payroll vendor relationships and performance.
• Support payroll/HR transformation initiatives including SAP implementations.
