Job summary

Keepit is seeking a Senior Networking Engineer in Copenhagen to own the network fabric underpinning our backup infrastructure. You will manage data-center routing, edge connectivity, and secure end-to-end delivery, working closely with SRE, Development, Operations, and Security.

Lead network automation, observability, and reliability standards, with hands-on experience in BGP/OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN, and Linux networking. Hybrid working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Network Engineering, Network Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with routing and switching at scale (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN/EVPN).
• Solid Linux networking fundamentals—kernel network stack, iptables/nftables, tc, and comfort working close to the metal.
• Experience with load balancing and reverse proxies (Nginx, HAProxy, or equivalent).
• Proactive mindset—spot gaps before they become incidents.
• Clear communicator; translate network decisions for engineers who don’t live in a terminal.

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Networking Engineer with deep expertise in data‑center networking, routing, and high‑throughput packet delivery to join our Operations team in Copenhagen, working side by side with our SRE team. This role involves owning the network fabric that underpins our backup infrastructure—from the physical and virtual topology inside our data centers to the edge and connectivity that carries billions of objects over foreign APIs and imperfect networks. You will define how traffic flows, keep it reliable under load, and keep it secure end to end. Technical ownership, a systematic approach to reliability, and strong initiative are essential for this role.

You Will:

About You

Must‑haves

• 5+ years in a Network Engineering, Network Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with routing and switching at scale (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN/EVPN).

Nice‑to‑haves

• Network automation experience (Ansible, Terraform, or vendor APIs) and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, service mesh, ingress controllers).
• Familiarity with network observability and flow analysis (sFlow/NetFlow, eBPF‑based tooling).
• Background in DDoS mitigation, firewalling, or network security at the perimeter.
• Experience operating networks across multiple data centers or hybrid cloud environments.
