Job summary

Netcompany in Denmark is seeking a Network Engineer to maintain and expand our Cisco-based network infrastructure, including LAN, Wi-Fi, ACI, and data centers. You will join the Network Team within the Infrastructure organization, handling operation, deployment, troubleshooting, monitoring with Orion and Splunk, and collaboration with server/storage colleagues.

Ideal candidates have a few years of experience, a degree in CS/Network Eng, and professional Danish and English language proficiency;

• Security clearance from PET required for employment.

Responsibilities And Technologies

Netcompany Operations is a well-established operations organization responsible for everything from business- and mission-critical application operations to infrastructure management across two modern data centers.

As a Network Engineer, you will become part of our Network Team, which is an integral part of our broader Infrastructure organization. You will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of Netcompany’s Cisco-based network infrastructure, as well as network administration, deployment, troubleshooting, and expansion of customer solutions.

We manage and maintain both our own hosting and enterprise environments, while also delivering networking services directly to our customers. You will work on a wide range of challenging and rewarding tasks across all aspects of networking, including LAN, Wi‑Fi and network in Netcompany’s data centers.

Our strategic network architecture is built around Cisco infrastructure, spanning ACI, ASR and ISR edge routers, and UCS server environments. On the security side, we utilize both Cisco and Fortinet firewalls and work extensively with technologies such as intrusion prevention (IPS) and DDoS protection.

Your Responsibilites Will Typically Include

• Expanding and maintaining our global enterprise LAN infrastructure.
• Managing network security solutions, including firewalls and related security technologies.
• Maintaining network monitoring and log management platforms using Orion and Splunk.
• Working with routing, switching, Cisco ACI, and wireless LAN controller (WLC) technologies.
• Collaborating closely with specialists in server, storage, and backup technologies.

About You

To thrive in this role, you should be technically minded, curious, and eager to contribute across a broad range of networking disciplines. You will have opportunities to work in our hosting environments, enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, and directly with customer solutions.

Ideally, you have a few years of experience in a similar role focused on network operations and administration.

To Succeed In This Role, We Expect You To

• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, network engineering, information technology, or a related field, or possess an equivalent level of qualification.
• Be motivated by delivering reliable, high-quality business-critical and mission-critical solutions.
• Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken) is a must.

Employment is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain security clearance from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET).
