Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to expand our client network and lead multidisciplinary mechanical projects in industrial and energy markets. You will identify opportunities, build long-term client relationships, and guide projects from concept to execution across Denmark and Global Competence Centres.

The role combines technical excellence with commercial acumen, mentoring junior engineers and driving growth for Ramboll’s Mechanical & Plant Design practice.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in industrial plants, energy infrastructure, gas systems, or related fields.
• Strong track record in client engagement and business development.
• Experience leading engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent Danish in speech and writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
• Identify, mature, and convert opportunities into projects.
• Lead mechanical engineering studies, FEEDs, and detailed design.
• Support proposal development and tender preparation.
• Manage project teams across Denmark and Global Competence Centres.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability development.
• Contribute to growth of Ramboll’s Mechanical & Plant Design services.
