Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset. You will develop long-term client relationships, identify opportunities, win work, and lead multidisciplinary engineering assignments from concept through execution.

You will join Ramboll's international Mechanical & Plant Design organisation, collaborating with teams across Denmark and our Global Competence Centres on projects ranging from industrial facilities to energy

Qualifications

BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
8 to 10+ years of relevant experience in industrial and energy sectors.
Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, piping and rotating machinery.
Proven track record in client engagement and business development.
Experience leading engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Commercial mindset with ability to identify opportunities and build long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
Identify, mature, and convert opportunities into projects.
Act as trusted advisor to industrial and energy sector clients.
Lead mechanical engineering studies, FEEDs, detailed design, and specialist assignments.
Support proposal development and tender preparation.
Manage project teams and coordinate delivery across Denmark and Global Competence Centres.
Mentor junior engineers and support capability development.
Contribute to growth of Ramboll's Mechanical & Plant Design services.
