Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to expand our client base and manage multidisciplinary projects in industrial and energy sectors. You will identify opportunities, win work, and lead teams across Denmark and our Global Competence Centres.

You will combine deep technical expertise with a commercial mindset, mentoring engineers and building long-term client relationships while delivering sustainable, high‑quality mechanical solutions.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in industrial plants, energy infrastructure, gas systems, process plants, or related industries.
• Proven track record in client engagement and business development.
• Experience leading engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify opportunities and build long-term client relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Danish, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
• Identify, mature, and convert opportunities into projects.
• Lead engineering studies, FEEDs, detailed design, and specialist assignments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support capability development.
• Coordinate delivery across Denmark and Global Competence Centres.
• Support proposal development and tender preparation.
