Job summary

LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark seeks a Senior Manager - Next-Gen Pre-Pack Counting Lead to shape counting technology across the packing programme. You will own the roadmap, define scalable counting solutions, and align interfaces across subsystems.

You'll lead specialist teams, drive performance, and collaborate with R&D, suppliers and production sites to deliver up to five-fold output while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Educational background within mechanical/marine engineering, automation or equivalent technical experience.
• Extensive experience in automation within high-volume production with focus on innovation and quality.
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
• LEAN principles to create reliable, scalable production solutions.
• Proven leadership in collaborating with R&D teams, suppliers, and production sites to qualify and implement new manufacturing technologies.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Define counting technology roadmap for LEGO element portfolio.
• Define how LEGO elements will be counted efficiently, reliably, and at scale.
• Shape equipment architecture and reduce interface risks between subsystems.
• Lead specialist teams and own workstream scope, quality, timing, and cost.
• Gather requirements and align specifications with project leaders, platform owners, automation partners, suppliers, and production stakeholders.
• Develop concepts and prototypes, test performance, and confirm technical feasibility.
• Define operating concepts, installation plans, workflows, and manufacturing-readiness requirements.
• Ensure maintainability, scalability, workplace safety, environmental compliance, and alignment with LEGO Group standards.
• Travel approximately four to six weeks annually to collaborate with partners, suppliers, and production sites.
