Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S seeks an experienced General Counsel Denmark, Legal Director Nordics & Baltics to lead all legal, contractual, governance and compliance matters across the region. The role involves advising senior leaders, guiding complex bids and major projects, and leading an international team of Legal and Contract Management professionals.

You will drive contract negotiations, risk mitigation and compliance programs while aligning with Hitachi Rail policies and regional business

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law or equivalent and qualified to practice.
• 10+ years in legal/commercial roles within large international infrastructure or project-driven contexts.
• Experience leading multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven track record in contract negotiations, claims management and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance to country directors and senior stakeholders.
• Lead governance, compliance and risk management across the region.
• Oversight of bid phases, contract management and commercial negotiations.
• Mentor and develop a diverse legal team across multiple countries.
• Ensure adherence to Hitachi Rail policies and regulatory requirements.
