Job summary

BWSC is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Allerød, Denmark. You will provide strategic legal guidance across the business, support corporate governance, and help navigate regulatory requirements for a global energy company.

You will draft and negotiate contracts, manage disputes, monitor legal developments, and collaborate with management and external counsel to protect BWSC’s interests.

Qualifications

• Holds a Danish Master of Laws degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong understanding of Danish law and relevant international legal frameworks, with experience in cross-border transactions and dispute resolution.
• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• At least 5 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or with a law firm, specializing in commercial contracts, corporate law, or the energy/industrial sector.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ability to collaborate with management, clients, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on contract law, commercial transactions, corporate governance, company law and dispute resolution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements critical to BWSC’s projects and partnerships.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks through thorough risk assessments and strategic advice.
• Support corporate governance, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel on specialized issues and complex cases.
• Monitor relevant legislation and trends to ensure BWSC’s compliance.
• Manage dispute resolution processes including litigation and arbitration.
• Educate internal teams on legal matters to foster a culture of legal awareness.
