Job summary

A.P. Moller - Maersk is seeking a Fleet Superintendent to oversee technical, operational and people management for a portfolio of vessels based in Copenhagen.

The role reports to the Fleet Director and involves leading Masters and Chief Engineers to ensure safe, reliable operations and optimal performance across the fleet. Based in Copenhagen with occasional international travel, you will collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Network and Technology to drive improvements and ensure vessels

Qualifications

• Strong marine engineering expertise and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operation of assigned vessels.
• Lead and develop onboard Masters and Chief Engineers for high performance.
• Act as liaison between vessels and shore-based stakeholders to deliver on priorities.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance across flag state, class and international rules.
• Monitor vessel performance, investigate issues, and drive continuous improvements.
