Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Fleet Superintendent to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a portfolio of container vessels. You will bridge onboard leadership and shore-based stakeholders, guiding technical and operational performance while developing maritime leaders and elevating safety and decarbonisation initiatives.

Based in Copenhagen, this on-site role involves leading Masters and Chief Engineers, managing safety, maintenance, and budget constraints, and coordinating with Operations,

Qualifications

• Strong marine engineering expertise with proactive preventive maintenance focus.
• Experience balancing technical, operational and budget priorities.
• Ability to lead and develop vessel-based leaders (Masters, Chief Engineers).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of assigned vessels.
• Lead onboard teams and engage with shore-based stakeholders to deliver priorities.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance for vessels and fleets.
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and drydockings with procurement and workshops.
