Job summary

Maersk Fleet Management & Technology in Copenhagen seeks a Fleet Superintendent to oversee the technical, operational and people management aspects of the vessels in the fleet. You will ensure safety, reliability and cost-efficient operations while coordinating with shore-based stakeholders.

Reporting to the Fleet Director, you will manage Masters and Chief Engineers, drive continuous improvement, and balance operational, technical and commercial priorities in a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in vessel management and technical leadership.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
• Strong preventive maintenance focus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operation of assigned vessels through strong technical and operational management.
• Lead on-board Masters and Chief Engineers to drive high performance and engagement.
• Act as primary liaison between vessels and key stakeholders to deliver on strategic priorities.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance including flag state, class, and international requirements.
• Plan inspections, surveys, dry dockings, and coordinate with procurement and suppliers.
