Job summary

Mercive seeks a seasoned PPC lead to own our agency’s paid media practice, focusing on e‑commerce campaigns, Shopify stores, and multi‑market setups. You’ll leverage AI tools like Claude Code to optimize product feeds, bidding, and measurement, driving revenue and new customers.

You’ll partner with SEO, UX, and developers to align paid, organic, and storefront efforts, plan peak periods, and mentor the team to raise overall paid media competence.

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative and accountability.
• Minimum 3 years in professional PPC, focused on e‑commerce.
• Deep hands‑on Google Ads experience for Shopping, Performance Max, and more.
• Strong knowledge of Google Merchant Center and product feeds.
• Experience with Claude Code or similar AI tools is a plus.
• Basic SQL or Python to read and tweak AI outputs.
• Solid e‑commerce measurement with GA4 and related tools.
• Experience with Shopify stores and multi‑market setups a plus.
• Ability to translate data into clear client recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Mercive’s PPC practice and define best practices.
• Drive strategy and execution for retainer and new storefronts.
• Own product feed strategy and Merchant Center health.
• Build AI‑driven workflows for search term analysis and reporting.
• Focus on business outcomes like margin and new customer share.
• Collaborate with developers on conversions tracking and GA4.
• Run international campaigns aligned with Shopify Markets.
• Plan peak periods and forecast budgets for stock awareness.
• Run experiments on bid strategies and campaign structure.
• Monitor performance and respond to spend efficiency changes.
• Collaborate with SEO/UX/development for integrated projects.
• Present performance and budget plans to clients clearly.
• Stay ahead of AI in paid search and translate into strategy.
• Mentor colleagues to raise agency paid media competence.
