Job summary

The LEGO Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Data Migration to lead adoption of the LEGO Data Platform and help product teams build scalable, high-quality data solutions. You will combine hands-on engineering with enablement, driving self-service data engineering and using AI to accelerate legacy migrations.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across teams, and shape data architecture while advancing quality, governance and ownership of data solutions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Python and SQL, including designing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud data platform such as Databricks or Snowflake, and with Apache Spark or PySpark.
• Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS or Azure), including storage, access control and deployment.
• Strong engineering practice version control with Github or Azure DevOps, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing data models and handling schema changes, data quality and error recovery.
• Mentored engineers in data and software engineering practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• Help product teams migrate from legacy technologies to the LEGO Data Platform.
• Solve complex data-engineering challenges across business areas with different maturity levels.
• Create reusable solutions and sustainable engineering practices that improve quality and scalability.
• Create dependable data solutions for business areas with different levels of technical experience.
• Enable teams to use platform capabilities with greater autonomy and confidence.
• Become a trusted technical specialist in the platform architecture and practices endorsed by the Data Office.
• Improve and accelerate migration work with artificial intelligence.
