Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Data Migration to drive adoption of the LEGO Data Platform and empower product teams to build scalable data solutions. You will combine hands-on engineering with enablement, mentoring engineers, and accelerating migrations from legacy systems with AI, while maintaining high data quality and governance.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Data Office, Migration and Delivery with a hybrid work rhythm.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL with data pipelines design.
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake for large-scale processing.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud including storage and deployment.
• Strong engineering practices: version control (GitHub or Azure DevOps), automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience designing data models and handling schema changes, data quality and error recovery.
• Mentored engineers in data and software engineering practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Help product teams migrate to the LEGO Data Platform.
• Solve data-engineering challenges across business areas with different levels of technical maturity.
• Create reusable data solutions and sustainable engineering practices that improve quality and scalability.
• Enable teams to use platform capabilities with greater autonomy and confidence.
• Become a trusted technical specialist in the platform architecture and practices endorsed by the Data Office.
• Improve and accelerate migration work with artificial intelligence.
