Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Data Migration to drive adoption of the LEGO Data Platform and empower product teams to build scalable, high-quality data solutions. You will blend hands-on engineering with mentoring to accelerate legacy migrations, while leveraging AI to improve efficiency and data governance.

You will work across Data Office, Migration and Delivery teams in a hybrid model, collaborating with data engineers, platform developers and governance specialists to

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL experience with building data pipelines.
• Hands-on with Databricks or Snowflake and Spark-based processing.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms, including storage, access control and deployment.
• Engineering discipline: GitHub or Azure DevOps, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines you built or improved.
• Experience designing data models, managing schema changes, data quality and error recovery.
• Mentored engineers in data and software engineering practices.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy data to the LEGO Data Platform for product teams.
• Build scalable, high-quality data solutions and enable self-service data engineering.
• Advise across teams; accelerate migration using AI and automation.
• Create reusable data solutions and promote sustainable engineering practices.
• Collaborate with data engineers, product managers and governance teams.
