Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Senior Commodity Manager to lead global sourcing for Converters, Cabinets, and SCADA. You will negotiate high-value contracts and drive supplier partnerships while ensuring ethical compliance across the organization.

Reporting to the Global Commodity Manager, you will analyze markets, manage SRM, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to strengthen supply chain resilience within the Wind Power business unit.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of global sourcing experience.
Technical background in electrical/electronic systems to support engineering teams.
Proven track record in strategic sourcing and high-value contract negotiations.
Strong analytical skills with spend forecasting and market insights.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute long-term global sourcing strategies for Converters, Cabinets, and SCADA.
Lead complex contract negotiations and establish master supply agreements.
Establish and manage an SRM framework with regular performance reviews.
Monitor market dynamics and identify technology trends to inform sourcing decisions.
Establish procurement processes and ensure alignment with ethics and compliance.
Communicate strategies to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Through in-depth market analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams, you champion operational excellence and proactively mitigate risks. Your contributions are instrumental in advancing the success and sustainability of our Wind Power Operations division.

How You'll Make an Impact

Develop and execute long-term global sourcing strategies for Converters, Cabinets, and SCADA commodities to optimize value and ensure supply chain resilience
Lead complex contract negotiations and establish master supply agreements with key global suppliers, securing favorable terms that align with business objectives
Establish and manage a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework, conducting regular performance reviews to foster strategic partnerships and improve supplier performance
Monitor market dynamics and identify technology trends through in-depth analysis, informing strategic sourcing decisions and enhancing competitive advantage
Establish new procurement processes and standards that impact functional results, ensuring alignment with the highest ethical standards and company compliance policies
Act as the primary procurement expert, effectively communicating strategies and plans to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and support for sourcing initiatives

What You Bring

A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering, combined with over 5 years of experience in global sourcing for electrical commodities
A solid technical background in electrical and electronic systems, enabling informed decision-making and effective collaboration with engineering teams
Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management, with a track record of successful high-value contract negotiations
Strong analytical skills, allowing for comprehensive market analysis and advanced spend forecasting to support strategic planning
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, facilitating effective communication and alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
A commitment to operational excellence and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in procurement processes
