Job summary

BEC in Roskilde invites a COBOL software engineer (Regular or Senior) to join the Business Banking initiative. The role blends development, testing and technical analysis across a team co-located in Roskilde and Warsaw.

You will work with COBOL, CICS, IDz, DB2, JCL, Git, Bitbucket and ServiceNow to deliver a modern liquidity management solution. The ideal candidate has a university IT/CS degree, experience mentoring others, and a strong ability to collaborate with Danish and Polish colleagues.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience integrating COBOL/CICS/DB2 in real projects.
• University degree in IT/CS or similar discipline.
• Proven ability to take ownership and mentor others.
• Capable of delivering high-complexity tasks on schedule.
• Strong teamwork and cross-country collaboration (Denmark/Poland).
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owner and Team Architect.
• Develop, test, design, and analyze stories and bugs.
• Support testing with debugging and bug fixes.
• Refine stories, evaluate feasibility and design.
