Bankdata is expanding its Cash Management unit and seeks a Software Developer with COBOL expertise to help modernise legacy systems and move towards Java-based solutions. You will contribute across the development lifecycle, from analysis and design to implementation, testing and QA, while collaborating with a small, skilled team to shape technical direction and ways of working.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with COBOL and building business-critical systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting, testing and quality assurance across the development lifecycle.
• Understanding of integrations, databases and APIs; familiarity with batch processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and modernise COBOL solutions to support cash management processes.
• Investigate dependencies, perform analyses and ensure stability through reviews and testing.
• Collaborate with the team to steer the modernisation from COBOL towards Java.
• Share knowledge and contribute to the long-term technical direction.
