Job summary

GoWish is seeking a Backend Engineer to own and evolve services powering its personalization features. You’ll design APIs, write scalable TypeScript/NestJS code, and collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to deliver fast, personal experiences for millions of users.

You’ll join a flexible hybrid workplace at our Østerbro office, with strong emphasis on code quality, reviews, and architectural planning. A background in GraphQL, SQL, and APIs is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an Engineer with 3+ years owning backend systems.
• Strong experience with TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS.
• Solid experience working with GraphQL.
• Confident with Git and version control.
• Experience working with APIs.
• A good understanding of SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services using TypeScript and NestJS
• Build and evolve GraphQL APIs that internal teams and consumers use
• Take ownership of services end-to-end, including architecture, deployments, monitoring, scaling — confirm scope
• Participate actively in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical roadmap planning
