Job summary

GoWish is building the world’s leading wish-list platform in Denmark. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll join Product Engineering within our Engineering department, working in one of five cross‑functional teams: Activation, Wishing Experience, Personalization, Creator and Monetization.

Each team consists of a Product Manager, Product Designer, Tech Lead, and a dedicated group of backend and frontend developers. Together, we collaborate closely to design seamless, intuitive, and high‑impact

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production backend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Design and ship GraphQL APIs in production.
• Model and manage data in SQL databases.
• Own features end-to-end with high code quality.
• Clear communication in a small, high-ownership team.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features end-to-end, from technical design to production delivery.
• Design, implement, and evolve GraphQL APIs and backend systems using JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Make sound technical decisions balancing short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.
• Take responsibility for code quality, readability, and correctness.
• Review pull requests critically and provide constructive feedback.
