Job summary

GoWish is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and own scalable backend services using TypeScript and NestJS, delivering instant, personal experiences for millions of users. You’ll craft GraphQL APIs for internal teams and consumers and own architecture, deployments, and monitoring in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

You should have 5+ years as an engineer with 3+ years owning backend systems, strong TS/NestJS skills, GraphQL experience, and solid SQL knowledge.

Our work spans six areas: Gift Generator, Recommendations, Activity, Creators, Brands, and Partners. Together they shape almost everything a user sees and does on the platform.

As our new Backend Engineer, you’ll build and own the services that power all of it — designing APIs and data flows that feel instant and personal at scale. You’ll work closely with frontend, product, and data, with real ownership over how millions of people experience GoWish.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services using TypeScript and NestJS
• Build and evolve GraphQL APIs for internal teams and consumers

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years as an Engineer with 3+ years owning backend systems
• Strong experience with TypeScript
• Hands‑on experience with NestJS
• Solid experience working with GraphQL
• Confident with Git and version control
• Experience working with APIs
• A good understanding of SQL
