As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you will own automated reliability testing and chaos engineering at Camunda 8, driving experimentation and improvement—learning new technologies and collaborating with talented colleagues who live our FAITH values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering (Java).
• Proven drive to experiment, learn new tech, and conduct automated reliability and chaos testing in distributed environments.
• Autonomous, pragmatic problem-solving skills with an ability to guide and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute automated chaos experiments and reliability tests.
• Investigate root causes and debug failures in Java-based products.
• Improve load testing, chaos engineering, and observability infrastructure.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams and influence roadmaps.
• Champion pragmatic, autonomous software design using Kubernetes, Helm, Grafana, Java, and Go.
