Job summary

Anashield is seeking an RF hardware engineer to own the RF layer of passive sensing systems, from antennas to ADCs. You will design the RF signal chain and the high-frequency circuits behind it: LNAs, power amplifiers, filters, mixers, and RF PCBs.

Collaborate with SDR, embedded and DSP teams to integrate the front-end and verify end-to-end system performance across lab and field tests, ensuring EMC and thermal integration for reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing RF front-ends and receive signal chains.
• Deep knowledge of LNAs, power amplifiers, mixers, filters, couplers, and synthesis trade-offs.
• Practical RF PCB design experience with impedance control, matching, layout, grounding.
• Experience with RF/EM simulation tools (ADS, AWR/MWO, Ansys HFSS, CST or similar).
• Strong laboratory skills with VNAs, spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Ability to take a design from concept and simulation through prototype, measurement and field-ready hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own RF signal chain design end to end: link budgets, cascaded noise figure, gain distribution, dynamic range.
• Design and specify RF front-end hardware: LNAs, power amplifiers, filters, mixers, PLL/LO and frequency synthesis.
• Design high-frequency circuits and multilayer RF PCBs: impedance control, stack-up, grounding.
• Select, specify and characterize antennas for direction-finding and wideband sensing.
• Design phase- and amplitude-matched multi-channel RF paths for coherent reception.
• Bring up, debug and characterize hardware in the lab with VNA, spectrum analyzer and signal generators.
• Ensure EMC/EMI performance, thermal and mechanical integration for real-world use.
• Collaborate with SDR, embedded and DSP teams to integrate the front-end and verify performance.
• Support prototyping, design for manufacture, vendor selection and small-series production.
