Job summary

Varian Medical Systems seeks an experienced Remote Software Field Service Engineer to troubleshoot, guide and support customers across the Nordic region, including Denmark. You will work with Windows-based systems and Microsoft technologies, performing on-site visits when needed and collaborating with global teams.

The role requires strong customer service, ITIL familiarity, and PowerShell scripting, with German/Scandinavian language skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical device or technology field with strong customer service.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies (IIS, SQL Server, SharePoint, AD, Registry).
• PowerShell scripting knowledge.
• Understanding of Windows operating systems and client/server architecture.
• Networking fundamentals.
• ITIL familiarity.
• English proficiency; Nordic language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance to customers.
• Maintain detailed service records in company systems.
• Track issues, bugs and feature requests with escalation and developers.
• Collaborate with global teams for troubleshooting, upgrades and projects.
• Interact with customers on-site and remotely for troubleshooting.
• Update Knowledge Base with technical guides and tips.
• Maintain safety and knowledge per Siemens Healthineers guidelines.
• Occasionally perform on-site installations.
• Occasionally travel for preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
