Job summary

Save the Children Denmark is seeking a Senior Country Engagement Manager for West and Central Africa. The role focuses on day-to-day programmatic and donor contract management between SCD and Country Offices in West Africa, with emphasis on EU donors and French language proficiency.

The successful candidate will lead international project cycle management, ensure compliance and reporting, and drive high-quality funding proposals.

Qualifications

• Extensive international Project Cycle Management experience with successful grant management.
• Strong EU donor expertise, especially EU/INTPA and ECHO.
• Fluent French writing and strong English writing skills.
• Ability to develop intervention logics from context analysis and write convincing proposals.
• Proactive communicator who builds trust with donors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of large-scale, multi-country programs in collaboration with Country Offices.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple team members and stakeholders to inform programmes.
• Monitor progress and ensure results-driven implementation and reporting.
• Ensure contract compliance throughout reporting cycles and project closeout.
• Perform QA on funding proposals, reports, and donor communications.
• Advise COs on developments at SCD’s Copenhagen Office and coordinate surge capacity where needed.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive Communications and Visibility Plan with donors and partners.
