A preservation architect is responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures This includes conducting research developing preservation plans and overseeing restoration projects The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architectural history and styles as well as experience with conservation techniques and materials

Responsibilities

• Conducting research on historic buildings to determine their historical significance and condition
• Developing preservation plans that adhere to local state and federal regulations
• Collaborating with engineers contractors and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity of restored buildings
• Overseeing restoration projects from start to finish including budget management and timeline adherence
• Utilizing conservation techniques and materials to preserve the original character of historic structures
• Providing guidance on sustainable practices for the long-term preservation of historic buildings

Requirements

Salary The salary for this position starts at $1500 per month but may be negotiable based on qualifications and experience

Contract job This is a contract position with a duration of 1 year There is potential for extension based on project needs
