Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to assess the condition of historical buildings and structures.

• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for restoration work.
• Obtain permits and approvals from local authorities.
• Oversee restoration on site ensuring preservation standards are followed.
• Use traditional building materials and techniques where possible.
• Inspect preserved buildings regularly to monitor condition.
• Develop maintenance plans for long-term preservation.
• Educate clients, stakeholders and the public about preservation importance.

Location Aalborg Denmark A preservation architect is responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures They use their knowledge of architecture history and preservation techniques to ensure that these structures are properly maintained and conserved for future generations. This position is located in Aalborg Denmark

Responsibilities

• Conducting site visits to assess the condition of historical buildings and structures
• Researching the history of the building and its significance in order to develop a preservation plan
• Collaborating with engineers contractors and other professionals to develop restoration plans
• Preparing detailed drawings and specifications for restoration work
• Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
• Overseeing the restoration process on site to ensure accuracy and adherence to preservation standards
• Utilizing traditional building materials and techniques whenever possible
• Conducting regular inspections of preserved buildings to monitor their condition
• Developing maintenance plans to ensure long-term preservation
• Educating clients stakeholders and the public about the importance of historic preservation

Requirements
