Job summary

DTU Construct invites applications for a highly motivated Postdoc to join a Horizon Europe project focused on developing next-generation digital twins for offshore wind infrastructures, based on physics- and data-driven models. The role emphasizes advancing coupled hydro-aero-servo-elastic models and fatigue assessment.

You will collaborate with academic and industrial partners across Europe, supervise MSc students, and contribute to teaching while building robust tools in OpenFast and surrogate

Qualifications

  • PhD level expertise in marine hydro-dynamics or related field.
  • Strong modeling experience of floating offshore wind infrastructures.
  • Ability to work with cross-disciplinary and industrial partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate a fully coupled hydro-aero-servo-elastic floating offshore wind turbine model in OpenFAST.
  • Develop data-driven surrogate models for floater motion and mooring dynamics.
  • Create algorithms to reconstruct full-field structural states from limited measurements.
  • Evaluate fatigue damage and update remaining useful life of key components.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of MSc students.
