Job summary

DTU Construct invites applications for a Postdoc to join a Horizon Europe project, developing next-generation digital twins for offshore wind infrastructures using physical and data-driven models.

You will build and calibrate finite element models, merge sensor data into stress and modal maps, and contribute to teaching and supervision of MSc students, in a collaborative European setting. Starting January 2027 for two years.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field with a focus on marine structures.
  • Strong background in FE analysis or data analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and calibrate finite element models for key structural components using testing data and controlled experiments.
  • Develop algorithms to fuse strain, vibration and environmental data into reconstructed structural states (stress maps, modal states).
  • Create data-driven surrogate models for reconstructed structural states.
  • Establish a structural reliability re-analysis framework for risk-informed decisions.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of MSc students.
