Job summary

DTU Construct invites applications for a Postdoc in Marine Structures to contribute to a Horizon Europe project focused on next-generation digital twins for offshore wind infrastructures. The role centers on modelling offshore floating structures and their positioning systems using FE analysis and data-driven methods, in collaboration with industry and academia across Europe.

You will develop calibrated FE models, fusion algorithms for multi-source data, and data-driven surrogate models while

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Strong background in marine structures or SHM and related data analytics.
  • Experience with finite element analysis and data-driven models is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and calibrate finite element models for key structural components using embedded sensing configurations and test data.
  • Develop algorithms for fusing strain, vibration and environmental data into reconstructed structural states.
  • Develop data-driven surrogate models for reconstructed structural states.
  • Establish a structural reliability re-analysis framework to update failure probability of critical components.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of MSc students.
