Job summary

DTU Construct in Denmark seeks a talented postdoctoral researcher to advance marine hydrodynamics and mooring for offshore wind. You will develop a coupled hydro–aero–servo–elastic model and data-driven surrogates, working with European partners to push the boundaries of digital twins for floating platforms.

The role requires a PhD, strong modeling background, independence, collaboration skills, and ability to disseminate results across academia and industry.

Qualifications

  • Hold a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Strong background in marine hydrodynamics and mooring.
  • Experience in modeling floating offshore wind infrastructures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with academia and industry.
  • Disseminate results across networks and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate a fully coupled hydro-aero-servo-elastic floating offshore wind turbine model in OpenFAST.
  • Develop data-driven surrogate models for floater motion, mooring tension, and tower dynamics.
  • Create algorithms to reconstruct full-field structural states from limited measurements.
  • Establish framework to evaluate fatigue damage and update remaining useful life of components.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of MSc students.
