Job summary

Nordic Salt Cycle invites an engineer to help build, commission and operate our pilot plant in Roskilde. This highly hands-on role works with our technical team during commissioning, testing and development, shaping how our technology and future plants are designed.

You will join a growing startup focused on molten salt technology for critical minerals recovery, with opportunities to advance into R&D, prototype development, or leadership in future operations.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years in engineering, process development or industrial operations.
• Bachelor-level technical qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process problems.
• Strong focus on safety and PPE compliance.
• Detail-oriented and data-driven in interpreting operating data.

Responsibilities

• Support buildout of the pilot plant infrastructure in Roskilde.
• Install and commission pilot-scale processing equipment.
• Operate the pilot plant during production campaigns.
• Identify abnormalities during operation and determine their causes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process equipment issues.
• Create and improve operating procedures and batch documentation.
• Translate pilot plant learnings into design changes for Nordic Salt Cycle’s first-of-a-kind commercial unit.
