Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Bagsværd seeks an Equipment Engineer for our API chemistry pilot plant to secure stable operation, support a new facility coming online in 2027, and keep production running by solving equipment challenges.

You will drive improvements to make equipment more robust and reliable, implement new production equipment with suppliers, and participate in change requests and qualification activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering required (Chemical Engineering preferred).
• A few years of relevant experience; ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of GMP or experience from pharma or another regulated industry.
• Strong problem-solving orientation with urgency to minimise downtime.
• Excellent documentation skills; ability to produce clear change requests and deviations.
• Structured, quality-oriented, self-driven approach with curiosity to identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Solve equipment challenges on the shop floor to keep production campaigns running.
• Drive improvements to make equipment more robust and reliable (vessels, sensors, heat exchangers, pumps, piping).
• Implement new production equipment, collaborate with suppliers, drive change requests and qualification activities.
• Define maintenance strategies, critical spare parts and calibration requirements; input to SAP.
• Conduct system evaluations and trend equipment performance; discontinue equipment when obsolete.
• Produce clear documentation and coordinate through workshops and structured problem-solving sessions.
