The Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics and Thin-Film Energy Devices (SDU CAPE) at the Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark, invites applications for a 3-year PhD position funded by the DFF project LuminOPV.

The PhD will design and develop AIE-active molecular materials for next‑generation organic photovoltaics, include international research stays, and require English communication; the position is fully funded and enrollment will occur at the SDU PhD School.

Qualifications

  • Candidates who hold a master’s degree in a relevant field (chemistry, material science, physics, electrical engineering and similar).
  • Very good capability of communicating scientific results in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on design and development of AIE‑active molecular materials for next‑generation organic photovoltaics.
  • Research stays abroad is part of the position.
  • Most of your working time is devoted to your own research studies.
