Job summary

The Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics and Thin-Film Energy Devices (SDU CAPE) at the Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Sønderborg, invites applications for a fully funded 3-year PhD position within the DFF LuminOPV project.

The successful candidate will study AIE-active molecular materials for organic photovoltaics and engage in interdisciplinary interface engineering and materials research.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in chemistry, materials science, physics or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with organic synthesis, molecular photophysics, organic/hybrid semiconductors, thin films and interfaces.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate scientific results in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AIE-active molecular materials for next-generation organic photovoltaics.
  • Contribute to research stays abroad as part of the project.
  • Publish results and communicate findings in English to a broad audience.
