Job summary

SDU CAPE invites applications for a tenured Associate Professor position in oxide semiconductors for photovoltaic applications at the University of Southern Denmark, Sønderborg CAMPUS. The role combines research leadership and university teaching across an interdisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will lead synthesis/characterisation of oxide thin films, collaborate with industry, and contribute to international collaborations while mentoring PhD students and securing external funding.

Qualifications

  • PhD required in a relevant field (physics, chemistry, materials science, electrical engineering or similar).
  • Proven strong publication record in oxide semiconductors and thin films, PVD processes and device integration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SDU CAPE team and supervise younger researchers.
  • Take leadership of new research directions in oxide semiconductors for PV.
  • Contribute to establishing new innovation activities in oxide semiconductors for PV.
  • Teach courses at SDU and supervise BSc, MSc and PhD students.
  • Contribute to obtaining external research funding and international collaborations.
