Job summary

SAM International is seeking a Technical Procurement Specialist to join the team onsite in Fribourg. You will manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure efficient supply for clients, while maintaining autonomy within a flat hierarchy.

Responsibilities include supplier development, sourcing, logistics coordination, and collaboration with the team to optimize orders and coverage. Travel to Asia and Africa is expected.

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent in purchasing, supply chain or related field.
• 5–6 years experience in import/export and technical purchasing.
• Fluent in French and English (C1).

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the supplier portfolio and relationships.
• Source new suppliers and negotiate terms for cost optimization.
• Oversee deliveries, follow-ups, and export logistics.
• Handle purchasing administration and invoicing.
• Collaborate with team and maintain autonomy.
• Travel to suppliers and internal customers, approx. 20 days/year.
