Job summary

Teradyne Robotics in Odense, Denmark, is seeking an NPI Commodity Manager to partner with Engineering teams and build a robust supplier base for new products.

You will lead supplier selection, evaluate capabilities, manage risks, and drive cost reductions across the product lifecycle, with travel 10-15% annually.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production, or similar.
• Several years of experience in product development, manufacturing, NPI, supplier quality, industrialization, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Interest in sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in make-versus-buy decisions for new products.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, manufacturing technologies, and technical risks.
• Identify and develop suppliers to support future roadmaps.
• Partner with Engineering to influence supplier and technology selection early in design.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and commercial negotiations.
• Develop cost models and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Build strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and quality.
• Manage supply risks, supplier performance, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, PM, and Manufacturing for launches.
• Travel 10-15% per year.
