Job description

Are you ready to make a real impact on the world of robotics? At Teradyne Robotics, a division of Teradyne, we are revolutionizing industries through cutting‑edge collaborative and autonomous mobile robotic technologies. As part of our team, you’ll work with global leaders Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), driving innovation that enhances manufacturing, logistics and workplaces across the world.

Are you an Engineer who enjoys working with suppliers, influencing product decisions, and driving business outcomes—not just designing products?

Teradyne Robotics is looking for a Commodity Manager who brings a strong technical foundation and is ready to leverage that expertise in a strategic supply chain role. This position is ideal for an experienced Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Product Engineer looking to transition into procurement, sourcing, and supplier management while remaining close to technology and product development.

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, helping shape sourcing strategies for innovative robotics products from concept through production.

  • Lead supplier selection, qualification, and commercial negotiations.
  • Develop cost models and support cost reduction initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships that drive innovation, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Manage supply risks, supplier performance, and business continuity.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Be expected to travel 10‑15% a year.
