Job summary

Terma Group is seeking a Systems Engineer for Maritime Projects to define technical solutions and own system areas from concept to delivery. You will lead engineering decisions, ensure alignment with architecture, and drive MBSE-driven development across software, hardware and interfaces.

You will join a team of 14 System Engineers, engaging in proposal work, estimates, and ongoing collaboration to deliver defense-grade systems. English fluency required and international work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Solid background in systems engineering and working with Technically complex products.
• Experience in maritime, aerospace, defense or safety-critical industries is advantageous.
• Experience with systems engineering methodologies, requirements engineering, system architecture, MBSE/INCOSE, interface technologies, distributed software systems, networking, sensor integration, and safety-critical systems.
• Experience with technical leadership, proposal development, defense standards, Linux, and MIL-STDs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into clear, robust technical solutions and identify risks early.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure integrated system designs.
• Act as technical owner for one or more system areas ensuring consistency across software, hardware and requirements.
• Define and support system architecture, requirements engineering, trade studies and technical decision-making.
• Contribute to proposals, engineering estimates, and technical planning.
• Help improve engineering processes and collaboration across the organization.
