NACOS Marine in Denmark seeks an Automation Certification Engineer to own type approval and certification for our automation and control system products. You will plan certification programs with classification societies and notified bodies, maintain certificates, and prepare documentation that demonstrates compliance.

You will work with R&D, production, and external test labs, serving as the point of contact for class surveyors.

Qualifikationen

• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong documentation and traceability skills.
• Structured, detail-oriented with multi-year certificate lifecycles.

Aufgaben

• Plan, coordinate, and execute type approval/certification programs with classification societies and notified bodies.
• Maintain and renew existing type approval certificates and monitor rule updates.
• Prepare certification documentation packages including test plans and compliance matrices.
• Ensure compliance with IACS URs, Cyber Resilience Act, and IEC standards.
• Coordinate third-party component certification and interface with surveyors.
• Manage relationships with notified bodies for environmental, EMC, and functional testing.
• Track regulatory changes and advise R&D on design-for-certification.
• Maintain certification database and support ISO 9001 audits.
• Follow IMO, IEC, and other standardization activities.
