Job summary

Emerson Denmark (Aalborg area) is seeking an Engineering Services Analyst to support start-up, commissioning, testing and delivery of Emerson marine solutions at shipyards, ports, and offshore installations worldwide. You will work with customers, project teams, and service partners to ensure systems are installed, configured, and operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Technical background in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years proven experience as Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Superintendent in marine/offshore environments.
• Understanding of marine automation systems, control systems, instrumentation, valves, actuators, and control panels.
• Familiarity with PLC-based systems, communication interfaces, and integrated control environments; strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as Emerson’s on-site technical lead during start-up, commissioning, sea trials, and system acceptance activities.
• Verify installation, configuration, testing, and functional performance of marine automation and control solutions.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues to minimize disruptions and support project outcomes.
• Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, system documentation, and interface requirements for accurate execution.
• Perform inspections, testing, validation, and commissioning according to project specifications.
• Ensure field activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards and maritime regulations.
• Represent the customer-facing interests, building relationships with shipyards and project stakeholders.
• Support knowledge transfer with operational guidance and handover to service teams.
• Document site activities, findings, and recommendations accurately and professionally.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to drive continuous improvement.
